Recollection
Dead bored with too much time on my hands, a couple friends and I came together at the start of lockdown in March 2020 to turn our fashion obsession into something more.
Over the next year we developed Recollection, a sustainable vintage jackets brand that finally launched in January 2021. Check out the site here.
I led all of our creative efforts.
We've built 'doing good' into the business model. Every purchase plants a mangrove tree in Madagascar, Mozambique, or Nicaragua - they're essential in the fight against climate change. And we're investing in carbon offset programs. For every jacket bought, we'll help sequester 0.2 tonnes of CO₂ from the atmosphere. We’ve partnered w/ Ecologi to facilitate our efforts.
I worked with my co-founders and a designer to create our website, implementing UX best practices to maximize conversions.
I developed our messaging principles, opting for a playful tone that resonates with our target consumer.
I directed, shot, and edited all of our product and lifestyle photography, capturing the unique details of each jacket. Check out a small selection of those photos below:
I also created content for and curate our Instagram and Facebook pages, using the best performing assets as ads.
Oh and all of our packaging is biodegradable.
